Opened this school on Monday last. 30 Junior scholars, and 34 Infants were admitted during the course of the week. Arranged children into classes. and commenced work. Visited on the 21st instant by Mr James Treble, the Under Secretary to the Northumberland Education Committee.

Miss Annie Hope was absent from school during this week owing to having to attend the Government Certificate Exam.

Owing to the Kings visit to Newcastle upon Tyne this school was closed all day on Wednesday last July 11th.
