At ten minutes to 9 this morning, I made a round of all class rooms to read the thermometers. The highest registered 51° the lowest 48°. All windows in every class room were shut. & it was a comparatively mild morning with no frost and no N.E. wind blowing. On frosty & windy mornings the lowest temperature is often only 46°, the highest being only 48° or 49°.

A cold, frosty morning, all thermometers only register 45° or 46°. The pipes are only luke warm at 9. a.m. The heating apparatus is always worse on a Monday morning, after the week ends.
