…The doctor deprecates the system, & says if a child is not able to do the work of his present class, he can not possibly benefit by being forced up into a class where the work will be even more difficult.

There are nine cases of chicken pox amongst the scholars. There is also much sickness in the nature of influenza, sore throats & bad colds. In consequence the attendance is very poor. E B

The severe snow-storm of the past two days has depleted very seriously the number of children in average attendance - the average attendance for the week being, 200 out of 248 on the books. E B
