School reopened after summer holiday. Miss Winifred B. Whitehill and Miss Mary M. Small, appointed from Aug. 1st 26. have commenced duties as student teachers today.

I have returned to school today having been absent one week. Reason for absence - Bronchitis.

Mr Scothorne, H.M.I. visited school this afternoon. He examined the registers.

All the children, except those in Class V, are leaving school at 2.15 pm. to visit the cornfield at Marden, where reaping is in progress.

Three students from Armstrong College have commenced their school practice today. They are here for three weeks.

Only 55% of the children are present this morning owing to severe thunderstorm in the district.
