I was asked to attend a managers' meeting to report on the state of cleanliness etc in school. The following points were included in my report on the work of the Caretaker.

All rooms dusty. Rolls of dust under desks.

Head Teacher's room unswept - scraps of wood left by joiner left on floor until weekend.

Hall floor very dusty - piles of dust under & around piano.

Hall desk & cupboards dusty.

Very thick layer of dust on all Hall furniture. Worst yet. Complained to Mrs. Baglee.

Interviewed Mrs. Lorrimer, who said she could not understand for dusty condition of Hall & rooms.

Head Teacher's room incompletely cleaned - mat, fender & fireside unfinished. Waited until 9.30am, & sent for Caretaker. He came at 9.45am, & made excuse that had
