Mrs. McGawan, County Youth Organiser, visited school to see about the Youth Club, which is meeting temporarily in the school dining hall. He agreed that this school hall is not suitable for meetings of such a club.

School closed at 3.30 p.m. for the Christmas & New Year holiday.

12 January 1953

School re-opened this morning. Mrs. Dawson & Mrs. A. Charlton continued as Supply Teachers. 17 children were admitted.

Nurse Turnbull carried out a cleanliness inspection.

The Circular for February has been read by all teachers. At 3.35 p.m., at entrance to school premises, Hugh Price, aged 6, was bitten in leg by a dog belonging to Palmer, 33, Grafton Road. Child's leg was bathed & antiseptic applied, then bandaged. The mother was present. I warned Mrs. Palmer & reported the matter to
