Admitted one boy Eric Heaton (10 yrs 8 months) who has never been in a class higher than St 2. Placed him in Std 3.

School closed, for the usual Easter Vacation, at noon to-day.

School re-opened this morning.

Medical examination of some 70 children took place during these two days.

Empire Day. Appropriate references were made in all classes to this subject this morning.

25 May 1922

School visited to-day by Mr Mills, H.M. Assistant Inspector. Dr Stonehouse visited the school, and examined cases of defective vision. Miss Harrison, Instructress in Domestic Subjects, called this afternoon with reference to possibility of transferring a pupil (Ella Crawford) to Cookery Centre at North School, for two afternoons a week.

Miss Copland absent by permission of the Managers in order to compete in the Newcastle Tournament (elocution section).
