Miss H. Robson (St 3) left school at 10.30 through illness

22 February 1923

Miss Robson returned after an absence of 2½ days. Medical certificate (anaemia).

26 February 1923

Severe storm of wind and rain. Attendance dropped from 266 in morning to 251 in afternoon. No heating in operation throughout the day.

1 March 1923

A boy, Alan Walker, was seized with illness at playtime and sent home in charge of the Caretaker. He had practically lost his speech and his sight seemed seriously affected – everything pointing to some form of seizure, though he retained full control of his limbs.

Close of the School year. Average number of children on books = 309.3. Average attendance 284.9.
