The 6th Annual Handicrafts Exhibition was held in School to-day following the private view of the previous evening when there were present amongst others. H. M. I: Osborne in Scothorne and Miss Brown, chairman of Managers. Mr Hindmarsh. and Chairman of Whitley & Monkseaton U.D.C. M. M. Snowball Esqr., Miss. M. M. P. Morley. &c &c.

Miss E. T. Alloman to be absent all this week. Medical Certificate sent to Mr Mundle.

May 23rd

Empire Day celebration carried out to-day in Boys Yard. The whole of the boys & girls marched in fours round the yard. when the Union Flag. was broken by Donald McLeod. P.L. 1st Whitley Bay (S. George's Group). and the whole school then marched past at the salute. Then after a brief address by H.D. Master, "Jerusalem" and "Land of Hope & Glory" were sung. - the National Anthem & cheers terminating the
