8 November 1935

National Savings = 9/6. On Wednesday - Nov.6th. the school was closed for the whole day owing to the ROYAL WEDDING. (H.R.H. Duke of Gloucester m. Lady Alice Scott). On 7th. Mr Davis, County Building Inspector, called with reference to repairs to "school house". Weekly attendance = 91%.

15 November 1935

National Savings = 8/-. Poppies sold to the children and teachers on Armistice Day totalled in value £2 " 7 " 2. Yesterday - 14th. inst. the school had holiday owing to the General Election. A 'cowl' has been fixed to the chimney of Headmaster's Room. Weekly attendance = 93%.

National Savings = 11/6.

20 November 1935

Mr. Crew. H.M.I. and Mr Birch H.M.I. arrived this morning about 9.20 am and after taking certain facts began their inspection which last all day.

21 November 1935

Both Mr Crew and Mr. Birch H.M.I. returned this mornin and continued with their inspection. Mr. Crew left at 4.28 pm and Mr Birch 4.17 pm. Mr. Crew said a REPORT would be sent.

24 November 1935

Acting upon criticism of H.M.I., I gave instruction for all children to stay in the class where their names were called : only one or two now go to a lower class for 'arithmetic'. Five transfers have been carried out following the same criticism.
