Recitation, Spelling, Composition, Mental and Script Arithmetic, English etc will proceed steadily during the next few weeks.

29 January 1937

Mr. Burnham is still ill. National Savings = 5/6. For the third time, the school will retain the Attendance Shield for February. METER READINGS... Water... 5,150,000. Electric {1302 downstairs {1175 upstairs. Gas... 1,022,000. Weekly attendance = 78.39. Monthly = 88.3%.

2 February 1937

Mr. W. Burnham returned to duty this morning (Tuesday) and Form 109 has been sent to the Clerk to the Managers.

5 February 1937

All P. Training has been done in Hall during the week owing to bad weather. The attendance is still well below normal... weekly % = 80.2. Mr. Pongher has taken "YARD-DUTY" for Mr. Burnham. All the classes have been examined in READING. National Savings = 6/-.

12 February 1937

National Savings = 8/-. The number of sick children is gradually falling, and weekly attendance has risen to 86.2%. All classes have been examined in POETRY. Attendance Officer called for a visiting list on 9th inst (Tuesday). METER READINGS... Water... 5,175,000. Electric {1348 downstairs {1226 upstairs. Gas 1,022,000
