National Savings = 4/6 . School was closed for WHIT Holiday on Friday May 26th . and reopened on WEDNESDAY 31.5.39 when the Attendance Officer called to report at 2.30pm. Fifty P.T. wooden mats have been lent to use at the Gosforth Physical Festival on Thursday . June 8th. 1939, Yesterday afternoon June 1st, three members of the staff; Miss Liggetts , Mr. Burnham and the Head-master ; and the leaders and deputy leaders of the P.T. teams (16 pupils) attended a REHEARSAL at Gosforth Stadium from 1.50pm until 5pm. To-day , FORM 133 = requisition for 8 Record Bks, and 16 REGISTERS has been sent to the school correspondent. Weekly attendance = 93.1%. [margin: see TIME BOOK.]- 9 June 1939
National Savings = 6/- . Attendance Officer reported at 2.30pm on 5th. On Monday .5th. afternoon session ended at 4.15pm to enable members of the Staff to attend an A.R.P. Lecture . On Thursday 8th , Miss Hargreaves - County Sub Inspectress - conducted a supplementary examination for pupils who missed the Grading Examination owing to sickness ; there were 14 of our pupils and 5 from other schools . The examination ended at noon
