School dismissed by request of Police at 11.50 a.m. and closed for afternoon session. Unexploded mine under promenade and School in area evacuated by civil authorities. Office notified and Correspondent.

10 January 1941

Workmen commenced repairs on building. In brief: Windows, doors, floors etc

13 January 1941

Reopened after mine (above) dismantled. Balanced Admission Register. Correct. Medical Cards sorted in preparation for Inspection. Dental treatment continues.

14 January 1941

Percentage of 90.19% for week. Radio out of order.

20 January 1941

Received Artist list of Dental Treatment child down

22 January 1941

Burst pipes reported after thaw. Arrangements made for repair. Diphtheria inoculation record cards received
