Owing to the fact that Monkseaton West C.P. Junior School is full to capacity, and Whitley North C.P. Junior School is practically at 'saturation point' I review the School Admissions & find 5 pupils living in the W. Monkseaton School area and 5 pupils living in the Whitley North School area. Headmasters of these Schools are informed by me today.

First School Canteen Committee is held in School today commencing at 3.30p.m. & finishing at 6.30p.m. The business of the meeting was to short-list candidates for the respective Canteen posts. 53 candidates were short-listed & are to be interviewed in the Infants School on Thurs 30th March at 2 p.m. Other business deferred was the Organisation of the Schools. Those present were C. Coun. D Whittle (Chairman of Managers & elected Chairman of Canteen Committee) Couns. Mrs M. Allan & Mr Cannell, Miss Jackson (School Meals Organiser) Mr Baglee (Clerk to School Managers, Miss Crisp (Head of Infants Dept.) & Mr Hardman (Head of Junior Dept.).
