A Bring & Buy Sale was held in School commencing at 3.30pm & lasting till 5pm. A sum of £22.1.6 was realised & deposited in the School Fund (Savings Bank, Newcastle upon Tyne).

Today, at approximately 12.15pm., Patricia Scruton (D.O.B. 10-7-41) of 49 Station Rd., Whitley Bay, and a pupil of this school accidentally ran into a wall in the School Playground. She received cuts on her chin & right knee & badly twisted her left forearm. Since the child showed no signs of shock or sickness I sent her home in the care of Mrs Sloan (Canteen Auxiliary, who was supervising the playground at the time of accident). Pat was immediately taken by her mother to Tynemouth Infirmary. Later, in the afternoon, called at School
