School is closed today because it is being used as a Polling Station for the U.D. Council Election.

10 May 1951

Detective Armstrong in school to make inquiries about the theft of a silver Knife from a small child out of School. No one was questioned.

11 May 1951

School closes today for Whitsun Holiday.

16 May 1951

Headmaster absent p.m. to attend funeral of near relative. Permission granted.

17 May 1951

Mrs Mgt. Hazon absent from School with influenza. School managers meet this evening to appoint a new School Caretaker.

18 May 1951

Mrs Hazon still absent.

21 May 1951

Mrs Hazon resumes her school duties.

24 May 1951

School observes Empire Day with special class lessons and flag demonstration. Children in Youth Organisations wear their uniforms. A Staff meeting is held to discuss suggestions for conduct & organisation of Final Exams with relation to School Record Cards.

25 May 1951

Mr Harvey (County Organiser Drama) in School a.m. Sees classwork of Miss Feggetter
