…measles, one with Scarlet Fever and others with swollen necks & faces & head colds. These illnesses so far are confined to the one class. The Class Teacher was absent 27 & 28/11/51 and consequently the School Medical Officer has been advised of this state of affairs. I have coupled these remarks with those for 15/11/51 since the mumps epidemic commenced then.

22 November 1951

At 7.30p.m., at my request, Mr G. Bosomworth B.Sc (Head of the Examinations & Records Dept., North Sd. Ed. Committee) addressed roughly 130 parents of children in this School on "The Transfer of Children to Grammar & Modern Schools." Questions were invited. The parents showed keen interest and the meeting was highly successful

Mrs C Davis, Canteen Auxiliary Gd II returned today after one day's absence. She had only recommenced on Monday 19/11/51 after being absent since Thurs 30/10/51 with a scalded foot.
