The attendance is very poor, and the average is very much below the no. one would expect from the number of children on roll. This day there are 46 children absent out of 237 on books. There are There are five known cases of scarlet fever & one of diphtheria amongst the children, and there are very many cases of minor ailments.

Miss Hopper is absent this afternoon; she is suffering from neuralgia. Owing to the Head Teacher having her own class there is no one to take Miss Hopper's class. Grouping will have to be resorted to, and there will have to be slight variations in the working of the Time Table.
