The Headmistress and Staff have devoted much time and enthusiasm to the preparation of carefully considered apparatus for the teaching of reading and number, and this is used with successful results. The progress made in writing and in simple composition is satisfactory. The children are interested in their work and happy in their school. The average age of the last draft of children to the Upper Department was 8 years 8 months. It is hoped that effort will be made to prepare future drafts for transfer at
