School re-opened this opening. Many children report having seen the Coronation on Television for the first time in History. Local celebrations were marred by cold wet weather on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Miss Lockrane had leave in the afternoon to attend the official Opening of Langley C.P. Schools.

18 June 1953

Nurse Ogle carried out a Hygiene Inspection. All teachers have read the Circular for July.

19 June 1953

School closed at 3.30 pm. for Race Week holiday.

29 June 1953

School re-opened this morning. Mrs. Ridgard signed Form 91 (conditions of tenure & sick pay regulations).

1 July 1953

Mr. J. Heppell tuned the school piano.

14 July 1953

Mrs. B. Fisher absent with sore throat. Part of stock received.

16 July 1953

Mrs. B. Fisher returned to school. All the staff have read & signed August circular
