At a meeting of Managers on Tuesday last, the area served by this School was re-adjusted in consequence of the overcrowding in this department. The North School area now includes the whole of North Parade, Victoria Terrace and streets north of these. As a result 96 children have been transferred to the North School to day. (48 B and 48 Girl).
St 5 still overcrowded and promotions have therefore been made from St 5 to St 6, & from St 6 to St 7. As these changes are caused by accommodation considerations & are not based on attainment I have given instructions to teachers of Std 6 & 7 to make a rapid survey of previous work, especially in Arithmetic.
