On Tuesday (23rd inst) Mr Short called re desks and arranged for 25 of the new tables and 50 chairs for same to be removed to the North C. Sch. Mr Adams H.M.I. and Mr Scothorne H.M.I. both called on 24th (Wed.) and made enquiry about the general attitude of PARENTS who were resisting the re-organisation arrangement by keeping their children absent from school. The Attendance Officer has been called each day.

Total number on Admission Register now = 303. On Thursday 31st ult. Mr Raisbeck — from Dial House — called at 2pm to make enquiry re effects of "Strike" and today Mr T. Liddle from the Office called about the same matter. At 3.15 today Mr C Nuttall called to see how matters were progressing. Percentage of Attendance for the week = 92.cf.
