12 October 1934

War Savings = 19/6. The Attendance Officer has called on attendance business every day this week. The Scarlet Fever cases now total 14 among whom are 9 boys. Nurse Turnbull inspected all pupils on Tuesday and looked in again today. Owing to indisposition Miss Bell is absent to-day. Weekly attendance has fallen to 87.2 %

19 October 1934

War Savings = 18/6. The Attdce. Officer reported on Monday and Thursday. Owing to Scarlet Fever, Colds, Swollen Glands, Impetigo etc, the number of children absent has increased to 75. Weekly attendance = 84 %. Miss Bell returned to duty on Monday after being absent from duty one day. The Milk Marketting Board's Milk Scheme has resulted in over 200 children buying each morning 1 bottle of milk (1/3 pint). October Holiday begins at 4.30 pm to-day: school re-opens on Monday 29th inst. Monthly Attendance =86.4%

2 November 1934

School opened on Monday with a full staff but a poor attendance owing to S. Fever cases 'contacts' and general minor ailments. Heavy rain, sleet etc also caused a further fall in attendance which for the week = 84 %. War Savings = 19/-
