24 October 1938

School re-opened to day with a full staff and a good attendance of scholars. National Savings = 6/6 The attendance officer called at 11am and took a list of absentees etc.

28 October 1938

In spite of heavy rain which fell from Tuesday until Thursday, the weekly attendance = 93.1% A cheque for £3.2.9 was received yesterday from County E.C. in payment of B.B.C. pamphlets. Four pupils have left while three have been admitted.

4 November 1938

National Savings = 5/6 . On Wednesday - Nov. 2nd. at 3pm Dr. W.J. Pierce, of County Medical Staff, called to examine two girls : he left about 4.40pm. Weekly attendance= METER READINGS { Water .......... 6,442,000 Electric Downstairs 2,254 Upstairs 1,918 Gas ......... 1,287,000
