7+ Assessment Tests begin today – 79 pupils. Tests given a.m. were Arithmetic & Mental Ability. School closed at 3.30 p.m. to enable Staff to mark Scripts. Michael Todd (4a) Patricia Jackson (4a) Sylvia Jackson (3b) Robert Jackson (2a) all Scarlet Fever contacts & consequently absent. Health Dept. notified.

7+ Assessment Tests continued today (a.m.) Tests were Spellings + Reading. School closed at 3.30 p.m. to enable Staff to mark Scripts. Received Communication from Miss I. Brown (Education Lecturer, Kenton Lodge T.C. arranging for visit of two students but this was cancelled later afternoon by telephone. Received letter from the Tynemouth Town Clerk saying his Council were unable to grant the School use of Links Avenue Playing Field, Cullercoats on Fridays (3-4 p.m) only. Mr Jones (County P.T. Organiser) in School p.m. to see Mr Hazon's work (P.T.).

School closed at 3.30 p.m. to complete markings of 7+ Assessment Scripts.
